What our graduate students are doing this summer




 

Jessica Bishop is going to be assisting on the MDICP (Malawi Diffusion and Ideational Change Project) in Malawi this summer. After training in Mchinji, she will be assisting in the field conducting interviews, data entry, data verification and validation with the Project. She will also be helping to collect a new set of biomarkers for this wave of the MDICP."

 

 

DeAnna Gore is attending the 2008 Stanford Formal Demography Workshop (May 1 - May 4; financial assistance received)- presenting a poster at the European Population Conference (EPC) in Barcelona, Spain (July 9 - July 12)

 


Matt Gayman has accepted a postdoctoral fellowship (2008) at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His work will primarily focus on tracking youths in the juvenile justice system and exploring the role of mental health in relation to recidivism and subsequent contact with the adult prison system.

 

 

Ursula Keller will be an intern at the National Institute of Aging, Washington, DC. She will be compiling results of recent research in Demography, Epidemiology, and Economics for the National Advisory Council on Aging.
